About HubSpot
HubSpot is a customer platform built around a shared CRM. It combines marketing, sales, customer service, content, data and revenue tools in separate products called Hubs, all working on the same customer records, so teams do not need to sync contacts between unrelated tools.
The company is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Its free CRM is the entry point for many small businesses, which then add paid Hubs or the Starter Customer Platform bundle as they grow. HubSpot also offers Breeze, its set of AI features, including an AI assistant that works inside the platform and an Agent Hub for building and managing AI agents.
Key features
- Smart CRM. One customer database shared by every Hub, with contacts, companies, deals and tickets in one place.
- Marketing Hub. Email, forms, campaigns and marketing automation for attracting and nurturing leads.
- Sales Hub. Pipelines, email templates, meeting links and calling tools for sales teams.
- Service Hub. Customer support tools for handling tickets and keeping customer history visible to the whole team.
- Content Hub and Data Hub. Website pages and content creation, plus data management to clean and unify records.
- Revenue Hub. Quoting (CPQ), billing and payment tools connected to deals in the CRM.
- Breeze AI and Agent Hub. An AI assistant that understands your CRM data, and a central place to build and manage AI agents.
- Regional data hosting. Accounts can be hosted in the EU (Germany), the US (East or West), Canada or Australia.
Who it is for
HubSpot suits small and mid-sized businesses that want marketing, sales and service teams on one system, from a founder using the free CRM to larger teams running automated campaigns and multi-stage sales pipelines. It is often chosen by B2B companies with an inbound marketing approach and by agencies that manage CRM setups for clients.
Pricing at a glance
- Free tools: $0, for up to 2 users, no credit card required, with HubSpot branding on emails and pages.
- Starter (individual Hubs or the Starter Customer Platform): advertised from $7 per seat per month at the time of checking, against a listed $20 per seat per month; removes branding and raises limits.
- Sales Hub Professional: from $90 per seat per month billed annually ($100 monthly), with a required one-time $1,500 onboarding fee.
- Sales Hub Enterprise: from $150 per seat per month, with a required one-time $3,500 onboarding fee.
- Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise: priced per account with included seats and contacts; Professional lists a $3,000 onboarding fee and Enterprise a $7,000 onboarding fee.

Things to consider
- Costs rise sharply between Starter and Professional, and Professional and Enterprise tiers require one-time onboarding fees.
- Marketing Hub pricing also depends on the number of marketing contacts, so a growing list increases the bill.
- The free plan is limited to 2 users and keeps HubSpot branding on emails and pages.
- Changing data centre requires a Starter, Professional or Enterprise subscription; free accounts must upgrade first.
- Because every Hub shares one CRM, moving away later means exporting and remapping a lot of connected data.
Getting started
- Create a free account and import your contacts and companies.
- Connect your email inbox and calendar so activity is logged automatically.
- Set up a deal pipeline that matches your sales stages.
- Add a form or chat to your website to capture leads into the CRM.
- Review the pricing page before upgrading a single Hub or the full platform.
